The Swedish Association of Tourism (STF) has recently released the news that they are going to hire someone to travel around Sweden for 2 months while documenting it in 7 blogs, twitter, facebook, flickr, youtube etc. That's a similar initiative as Australia recently did, and Taiwan is doing the same thing right now!
I think this is a great initiative and I will apply for the job! I hope whoever gets the job that they will do everything in English and Swedish so it is useful not only for people from Sweden. You can read more about the job (in Swedish) at The most Swedish work in Sweden.

Spring is coming in Sweden

Now spring is coming in Sweden. It is green everywhere, people are dressing lighter and everyone is happier.
Sweden has had very good weather the last weeks and everyone is hoping it will continue. The weather is by the way a subject that is spoken about very often. The 15th of june I will start a course in Russian, at the University of Dalarna and when I know russian I will translate the program to russian! But first it is time to release the english version, and the date is set to 15th of june. If you want to have a sneakpeek you can check out the free chapters at Learning Swedish Online.

Nu kommer våren i Sverige. Det är grönt överallt, folk klär sig lättare och alla är gladare.
Det har varit väldigt bra väder i Sverige de senaste veckorna och alla hoppas att det ska fortsätta. Vädret är förresten ett ämne som det pratas om väldigt ofta. Den 15:e juni börjar jag på en kurs i ryska på Dalarnas universitet och när jag kan ryska ska jag översätta programmet till ryska. Sweden is like a mini America #1
Some Swedish people like to joke about the country as a Mini America and that is not very hard to understand, especially not on days like yesterday.
Yesterday in the city where I live outside Örebro, was the annual cruising where people from all over Sweden go to the city to cruise the streets with their American cars. I believe it is an interesting phenomenon and it is VERY popular. Almost every weekend every summer there is a cruising in some city in the region. This one is called the spring cruising, and it is meant to start up the season of the cruising enthusiasts.
This is the way it looks.
I will publish more of this as time goes by. In the meanwhile you can have a look at the Swedish version of today:s post.
En del svenskar tycker om att skämta om att Sverige är ett mini-Amerika och det är inte så svårt att förstå, speciellt inte dagar som igår.
Igår, i staden jag bor i utanför Örebro, var det den årliga cruisingen då folk från hela Sverige åker till Lindesberg för att cruisa gatorna med sina amerikanska bilar. Jag tycker att det är ett intressant fenomen och det är VÄLDIGT populärt. Nästan varje helg är det cruising i någon stad i vår region.
Denna kallas för vårmönstringen och är tänkt att starta upp cruisingsäsongen för entusiasterna.
